Did you know that September is International Women’s Friendship Month?  Really!  Here’s a little history of how this came to be:

In 1999, Kappa Delta Sorority created National Women’s Friendship Day to recognize and celebrate the special bond women friends share. The holiday was so popular several other organizations joined together to create the Confidence Coalition, and with this greater sponsorship, National Women's Friendship Day was expanded in 2009 to a month-long celebration. Now women worldwide celebrate International Women’s Friendship Month (IWFM) during the entire month of September.

A Monogram for a Cause

As often as we can, A Gracious Plenty tries to 'give back'.  We do this in several ways:  we contribute annually to local and national organizations, we donate a percentage of the purchase price of certain items on our website to particular causes, and we contribute pieces to groups for auctions and fundraisers.
